For as long as I can remember, I have been richly blessed with the presence of animals in my life.  In fact, my dearest friends might agree that I'd be empty inside without them.  There is something divine in the way they communicate and bond with us; and that is just the essence I strive to capture in every shot.  It brings me great joy to witness an animal's true spirit, and to freeze those moments that speak to us forever.
I am a self-taught photographer, with pets and nature being my favorite subjects.  My "camera eye" for dogs and cats began when I met  Echo (right), my Akita/ Shepherd beauty (and ultimately my very best model), in 1995.  She was born with a natural love for the camera, and continues to pose for me each time I grab it.  Echo's half-brother, Wile E. (middle, Akita/ Husky), came along two years later, and we began the joys of puppyhood all over again.  It is the way they look at me through the lens that eventually inspired me to take pictures of all the furry friends I meet...and I doubt I'll ever stop.
Meet my furry kids...
As a Colorado native, I am truly grateful to have some of Mother Nature's most exquisite creations right in my back yard.  I travel with Echo and Wile E. almost weekly to explore Colorado's backcountry.  I'll never get enough of the pristine beauty that surrounds us.  The nature photos within represent just a glimpse of our beloved State's glory that many never have the chance to experience.
